Hydroseeding is one of the most efficient grass-planting systems available. Get the Most Out of Your New Landscape

Watering Plants & Shrubs

Water newly planted trees and shrubs weekly from planting through summer until the ground freezes. During the warmer months (May – August), increase frequency for the first 2–3 weeks.

  • Run the garden hose at a trickle, or use a bucket, so each plant gets a thorough, deep watering.
  • Use a water breaker rather than a hose nozzle to reduce pressure.
  • Apply mulch around plantings to retain soil moisture.
  • Use UP-START liquid fertilizer for root stimulation at first watering.
  • Apply PLANT-O-GANIC in spring and fall for optimal growth.

Watering Seed Lawns

Proper watering is essential for a new seed lawn to succeed.

  • Apply water as a gentle mist, three to five times a day, after seeding.
  • Keep soil moist until germination; avoid puddling.
  • As sprouting begins, reduce frequency but increase water volume.
  • At first mowing, transition to once every 5–7 days at one inch of water weekly.
  • Apply Turf-O-Ganic fertilizer 3–4 times a year for a thick, green lawn.
